Today is Giving Tuesday. We would be very grateful if you would make a donation to Olwazzi Ministries.
There are several needs in the village that we would like to be able to meet and we need your help.
Exodus Minister Church needs siding.
God's Mercy Kindergarten has been expanded to accomodate more students and we need a new roof, plaster for the walls and desks and supplies for the students.
There are several families in the village in need of mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets and other household items.
We would like to purchase a couple of sewing machines so the ladies can make craft items and clothing.
Most importantly, school will begin again in January and we would like to be able to send more children to primary and secondary school.
Please visit our Gift Catalog page and our Sponsorship page if you would like to purchase a gift for someone or sponsor a child in school.
Your donation is TAX DEDUCTABLE!!! Please consider helping!
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.~~Ephesians 2:19-20
Olwazzi means solid rock in Luganda. The foundation of Olwazzi Ministires is the solid rock of God's word.

The Work Begins
We came back to the village the next day ready to work. In typical Ugandan fashion, plans change. We were ready to start working on one project but a more pressing need for a kitchen for the school was the first project we worked on.
This is the kitchen at the beginning of the day.
Almost finished when we left. Thankful for the men from Exodus Ministry Church who stayed and finished the job!!

Our First Service at Exodus Ministry Church
Our first few days were action packed. We arrived at the airport late, without our luggage:( Fortunately it arrived the next evening and was delivered to the guesthouse.
We travelled out Kamengo on Sunday for services at Exodus Ministry Church. As we walked up to the church some men were killing a snake that had been inside the church. That kept us alert for the rest of the service:)
Assistant Pastor Billy and our interpretor Eve
Packed house!!
Making new friends
We're almost at 5,000 hits on the blog. If you are number 5,000, leave us a comment or email us and we will send you a prize for keeping up with our work!!
More updates coming soon!!!

Back in the Village
Being back in Kamengo was all that I imagined and more!!! It was just as beautiful as I remembered and the people were just as loving.
We got a lot of work done and laid the foundation for more projects in the future.
I'll will be writing more indepth about everything in following blog posts. I just wanted to take the time to share some pictures from the trip.
I hope you enjoy them and stay tuned for more reports soon.

Two Weeks Notice
In two weeks, I will be returning to Uganda. I can't wait to get to the village and get to work. Get to loving the kids! Get to help!!
If you would like to donate to the projects we will be working on while we are there it would be greatly appreciated!
We will be working to improve the kindergarten and church buildings, building a pig pen and buying pigs and working in the community garden, teaching Bible school to the kids, doing some light medical work, and teaching the men and women so new skills that will hopefully help them earn some money.
Please pray for our team and for our families while we are gone.
Thank you!!

Mustard Seed
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Matthew 17:20
With faith and a lot of hard work, mountains are moving in Kamengo.
The land has been cleared and the community garden has been planted.
A new building for God's Mercy Kindergarten has been constructed.
Desks and tables have been ordered.
A new latrine has been built.
And the new permanent home for Exodus Ministry Church is under construction.
Thank you again for all of your prayers. Keep them coming, we have more mountains:)

Update
First, let me apologize for not updating sooner. My family has had some health issues and I just haven't had time to update.
That doesn't mean things haven't been happening in Kamengo. Thanks to your donations they have. For that we are so very thankful.
We were able to take 4 people from Kamengo to Kampala for medical care/surgical consults. Thank you, God, none of them required surgery. This care was provided by Wentz Medical. Thank you Wentz staff and we hope to work with you more in the future.
